Pelican at Point Pelee Ontario

Joe and I went to Point Pelee National Park today - the most southern tip of mainland Canada - and we saw among other things, a flock of white pelicans. This is the first time we have seen them there. A small flock flew overhead and I had just enough time for a quick, not quite in focus, shot.

The Pelican was a long way up but at least I got proof we saw one!

This is a juvenile bald eagle. It was soaring with his parents but I did not get a clear shot of them.

A dragonfly first landed on my shoulder and then on Joe's hat and he seemed to prefer the hat. 

He would fly off and right back on again.

This is almost the end of the tip. Three weeks ago the sand bar ended where those trees are.

It's amazing what wind and water can create...and destroy.

 Yesterday we went to Rondeau Provincial Park. Here are a few we took there.

This is a wasp nest. It's amazing how an insect can build this.

Luckily it was a long way in the bush from the trail.

This is a Yellow-rumped Warbler.

You can see why they named it that.
